Project Description
This project addresses the growing threats of disinformation, digital hate, and antisemitism across Europe, with a particular focus on Central and Eastern Europe and the Caucasus. It aims to strengthen emotional and digital resilience, enhance media literacy, and foster interfaith solidarity. Through research, training, and community engagement, the initiative will equip educators, youth, and activists to recognise, report, and respond to online hate effectively.
Findings
- Normalisation of Hate: Antisemitic and hateful content is increasingly becoming normalised online, often masked as humour or personal opinion.
- Emotional Impact: Research indicates that victims of online hate frequently experience anxiety, isolation, and mistrust – highlighting the need for stronger emotional support.
- Lack of Tools: Educators and community leaders often lack practical resources to identify and effectively counter online antisemitism.
